2. Course information:

Course information is accurate at time of publication. If details change you will be notified of the changes. Students are welcome to seek further information including details of Training Packages modules at any time.

3. Fees, charges, refunds:

Fees and charges are as advertised. A concession may apply to classes over $60 for students, pensioners or unemployed. Please show us a relevant Centre link card. We have specialised staff to assist with language, literacy or numeracy needs. Please ask your trainer or enquire at the ACE front desk.

5. Client support:

We aim to assist clients to the best of our ability with personal issues which may affect their studies. Please let us know if you are having difficulty with course material for any reason. We can also undertake some welfare support and career guidance depending on needs.

6. Flexibility:

With modern training methods there are often several methods of undertaking courses and gaining qualifications many qualifications can be undertaken in workplaces. Please feel free to discuss these options with us. Assessments can also be covered in different ways to suit individual needs. Please discuss this with your trainer.

7. Appeals, complaints and grievance procedures:

There are rights of appeal within the College for any matter where students feel unfairly treated. Any student can seek a re-assessment for any module if they have been deemed Not Yet Competent. Grievances and discipline are handled through our adult communication framework where we aim to minimise conflict. There is a code of conduct for the College community (staff and students) including policies on safety, harassment, privacy, language, and substance use.

8. Access and equity:

ACE is open to all members of the community. We have some difficulties at some centres with wheelchair access, however we will do our best to accommodate students. Any students with a disability may bring a support person to classes for no extra charge. Students have access to their own college records.

9. Recognition of Prior Learning:

We do not want students to sit through classes where they already know the content. We have a policy on Recognizing Prior Learning and you are welcome to seek exemption from any module. Ask your trainer for the RPL form. Some interview and documentation processes may be required.

10. Course pathways and mutual recognition:

Most accredited courses lead on to options for further study. We are happy to discuss options with you at any time. We will recognise any nationally accredited certificate from another provider and accredited ACE qualifications will be recognized by other providers around Australia.
